This website (gymsbyed.com, and edperezfitness.com, which redirects to it) is operated by Eddie Perez, doing business as Gyms By Ed and Ed Perez Fitness (“we”, “us”). We design, equip and install fitness facilities.

02Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quote and contact form: your name and email, your consent to be contacted, and optionally your phone number, company, project location, project type, space size, timeline, budget range, how you found us, your message, and the page you sent it from.
- Free guide sign-up: your first name and email address.
- Chat assistant: your email, optionally your first name, and the messages you type.
- Direct contact: anything you send us by email, text or phone.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider records technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and time. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Browser storage: the chat assistant keeps your conversation in your browser's session storage so it survives moving between pages. It is deleted when you close the tab. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site.
03How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, plan your project and prepare proposals.
- To send the free guide you asked for and a short series of follow-up emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your questions through the chat assistant, and so Eddie can follow up personally.
- To keep the website secure and working, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
05The AI chat assistant
The chat assistant is software, not Eddie. Your messages are sent to third-party AI models through OpenRouter to generate a reply, and those providers may keep them for a limited time under their own policies. A copy of your conversation and your email is sent to Eddie so he can follow up.
Please don't share sensitive information (health, financial or government ID details) in the chat. AI answers can be wrong; see our Terms of Use.
06How long we keep it
- Enquiries and chat transcripts: as long as needed to discuss and deliver your project, and as required for business records.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe, after which we stop sending marketing email.
- Chat history in your browser: until you close the tab.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email.
Depending on where you live (for example California, Connecticut, New Jersey or other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share it in that sense, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request. We won't treat you differently for exercising any right.

08Children
This site is for businesses and adults planning fitness spaces. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
09Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the chat assistant's keys and instructions are kept on the server, never in your browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10Where data is processed
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
11Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change, for example if we add analytics, and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
